Events

Every time a room is cleared, a random event might occur. They can either be negative, where something that can harm the player spawns, or positive, which can result in the player in some way benefiting. Probability of events can vary based on equipped pills.

Positive Events

  • Golden slime
    • A golden slime ball spawns. Shooting it repeatedly causes it to drop gold and treasure, and in rare cases, ammo and weapons.

  • Golden chicken
    • Golden chickens spawn and shooting them cause them to be destroyed and drop treasure.
    • This event is a reference to the Moorhuhn series.
Goldcrystal.gif
  • Golden crystals
    • Eight golden crystals spawn in the room with a short timer. The last crystal collected breaks to reveal treasure.
LootRabbit.gif
  • Golden rabbits
    • Golden rabbits spawn and, like with chickens, shooting them spawns gold and treasure. Sometimes a space marine appears to avenge the death of his rabbit.
    • This event is a reference to the Doom series.
Slots.gif
  • Slot machine
    • You give it treasure and then randomly get treasure, gold, ammo, full map, full health, a weapon, an enemy, a powerup, an explosion, or nothing.

  • Dog
    • A dog spawns in the room. Throughout the level multiple dog biscuits also spawn, including in previously visited areas and inside secrets. Collecting them and then feeding them to the dog (by pressing use) will give you treasure.

  • Doctor Friend
    • A man in a white coat appears with an offer. It can be either to sell your most used weapon, reroll the numeric value of an existing weapon stat, change a weapon stat, or make a new version of an existing weapon.

  • Barrels o' Fun
    • A few hundred barrels spawn in the room for player to destroy. This is handy as it is likely many weapons and treasure will spawn on destruction of the barrels. Having an area of effect weapon, like a Black Hole Launcher, will make the process easier.
    • This event is a reference to level 23 of Doom 2.

  • Viscera cleanup
    • A cleaning station appears along with a mop and bucket. Cleaning up blood with it will award you gold. The mop can also be used as a weapon.
    • This event is a reference to the Viscera Cleanup Detail game.
RhythmGame.gif
  • Rhythm Game
    • An arcade cabinet appears in the room with a price tag. Upon paying, player is presented with a series of 11 directional inputs they must replicate by stepping. Entering a wrong input fails an attempt, but there is no limit other than player's gold reserves. Upon success, player is awarded a huge lump of treasure, and offered to complete another round with higher stakes and reduced time. After the third success, the cabinet breaks.
    • This event is a reference to the Dance Dance Revolution game.

Negative Events

  • Fireball trap
    • Exploding fireballs spawn until the player destroys the red orb.
Shocktrap.gif
  • Electric trap
    • Electric balls spawn until the player destroys the red orb.
IceBoltCurse.gif
  • Ice trap
    • Shards of ice fall from the ceiling until you destroy the red orb.
Gravitytrap.gif
  • Gravity trap
    • Gravity will swap back and forth until the player destroys the red orb.
GhostCurseGhost.gif
  • Ghost face
    • A severed head will chase you and appear in your FOV. Look away as it attacks to avoid damage. It will chase you until the player destroys the red orb. While the level gets desaturated, the orb doesn't, making it easier to find.
RedCrystal.gif
  • Red crystals
    • Four red crystals will appear in the room and spawn enemies.
Anomaly.gif
  • Anomaly
    • A large red ball slowly chases you through walls. When it's close, you hear Geiger counter ticking; when it's closer, you suffer damage. Keep away from it until it despawns.
    • This event is a reference to the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series.
Miniarmy.gif
  • Mini army
    • 64 tiny enemies will spawn and swarm the player. Depending on the current chapter, the enemies have melee, hitscan or fireball attacks. The graphics used for tiny enemies come from Early Access version of the game.
    • This event is a reference to the Army of Darkness movie.
