Shriekers are ghastly apparitions that conjure magical skulls to attack player. They appear as floating witches with gray hair.
Tactical Analysis
Shriekers are slow and generally easy to dispatch. However, the skulls they use to attack have limited guided capability, and unlike most early enemies, they don't lose efficiency over distance.
Their breathing sounds are very loud, often warning player of their presence before their room is entered.
Bugs
As of v1.0, a floating skull projectile can sometimes hit the Shrieker that summoned it, hurting or even killing her.
Floating skull projectiles sometimes appear facing wrong direction.
Trivia
The skull projectile sprite is a recolored version of the one used in player's Pyxis of Souls primary attack.
